COMPANION PRESS
Photographic Books on Landscapes at Crossroads of Environmental Concern
Established in 1987 by Publisher/Editor Jane Freeburg, Companion Press specialises in fine photographic interpretive books. Our first title, Exploring the Southwest’s Grand Circle, has over 100,000 copies in print. Exploring the Eastern Sierra: California and Nevada (1988) was revised and re-designed for release in 2003, the year Companion Press relocated from Santa Barbara, California to Bishop in the beautiful Eastern Sierra.
Jane Freeburg, Publisher/Editor and her husband, Senior Editor Mark Schlenz, collaborate on project development for the Companion Press line as well as book production and editorial services for other publishers and contract clients.
